Winter Mountaineering and ICE Skills Course.

Glen Coe, Scotland

Over the years I have travelled the world utilizing my mountaineering skills, but there is nothing finer anywhere in the world then a Scottish day in the mountains in its full winter setting. This course is designed to give you the skills required to venture onto the mountains in full winter conditions. It isnt long before the novice climber learns the techniques necessary to walk, climb with ice axe & Crampons and to do some of the classic routes in winter, but to do them safely, does take years of trial and error experiences.

Judging the snow & ice conditions, route finding and learning good navigational skills, also when to turn back when the conditions are unfavourable is paramount to good mountaineering.
